For The Third Time This Season King & Jorstad Sweep Skyline Weekly Honors

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2018) - On Monday, the Skyline Conference announced that, for the third time this season, USMMA freshmen Robin King (Raymond, Ohio) and Brooke Jorstad (La Crosse, Wis.) have swept the Skyline Conference women's cross country weekly honors, as King was named the Runner of the Week and Jorstad earned Rookie of the Week honors after the duo's performance at the MSMC Knight Invitational this past Saturday. 

King won the Invitational with a time of 25:32 in the 6K race. It was her third top-10 finish in as many races this season and second-straight in the top-two. 

Jorstad came in second place on Saturday, completing the 6K loop with a time of 26:46. 

The pair helped lead the Mariners to a first-place team finish at the event.

Up next, King, Jorstad and the rest of the Mariners will compete in the St. Joseph's-L.I. Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 13, out at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park, N.Y. First race is scheduled for 1 p.m.
