KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2017) – USMMA sophomore Carissa Buonerba's (Atlanta, Ga.) team-best sixth-place finish this past Sunday has led the Skyline Conference to select her to this week's women's cross country weekly honor roll, the league announced earlier this week.
Buonerba finished the 5K course on the campus of Caldwell University with a time of 21:17.38. It was the sophomore's first time leading the Mariners this season, and her sixth-place finish out of the 75 runners in the race helped lead the team to its first meet-win of the year, as Merchant Marine led all teams with 67 points, three better than second-place FDU-Florham (70).

Buonerba and the rest of the Mariners are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 29, when they travel up to Purchase for the 2017 Skyline Conference Championship Meet. The women's 5K race is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on the campus of Purchase College.
