Lewis Lands On Skyline Women’s Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Sept. 20, 2017) – Earlier this week, the Skyline Conference announced the weekly honors for women's cross country and USMMA sophomore Anna Lewis (Lakehead, Calif.) earned a spot on the weekly honor roll. This comes after Lewis' performance in leading the Mariners to a third-place team finish this past Sunday at the Queensborough Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx.

Lewis paced Merchant Marine in the 5K race as she crossed the finish line in 11th place overall out of 208 runners with a time of 21:44.2. She was the third Skyline Conference runner to finish the race and she helped the Mariners to the highest team finish out of the seven Skyline schools that competed in the race.

Lewis and the rest of the Mariners return to action this Saturday, Sept. 23, when they travel up to Annandale-On-Hudson, N.Y., to compete in the Bard Raptors Invitational. First race, the women's 5K, is scheduled for 11 a.m. on the cross country course on the campus of Bard College.

Lewis was recently featured in the "Mariners Spotlight" section of the newly redesigned USMMASports.com. You can read that piece by following this link
