USMMA Places Seventh at Landmark Women’s Cross Country Championships

Washington, DC – Anya Hovanic (Ramstein, Germany) was Merchant Marine's top finisher at the 2013 Landmark Conference Championships as the Mariners finished seventh as a team.  Hovanic claimed 27th place in the 61 runner field by crossing the finish line in 26:15.90.  Moravian put five runners in the top-15 as the Greyhounds were crowned conference champions.

Amber Kinter (Las Vegas, NV) was the second highest USMMA athlete as the junior finished the 6k course in just under 28 minutes.  Mary Zehnder (Carle Place, NY) clocked in at 28:03 to finish in 43rd while Elizabeth Coulter (Thousand Oaks, CA) posted a time of 29:15.60.  The USMMA top-five was rounded out by Emily Bull (Glen Rock, PA), who crossed the finish line in 29:19.40. 

The USMMA women's cross country team returns to action next weekend at the ECAC Championships.
