KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Sept. 4, 2018) – On Tuesday, the Skyline Conference announced its weekly honors for women's volleyball and two Mariners were recognized for their performances in the season-opening home sweep over Rutgers-Newark this past Friday - senior Kate Lefler (Norman, Okla.) was named the Skyline Player of the Week, while freshman Brittney Pinzon (Fullerton, Calif.) earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Lefler led all players in the match with 17 kills, while also hitting at .268 clip (17k-6e-41a). The senior also picked up six digs defensively.
Pinzon nearly recorded a double-double in her first collegiate action, as she had a match-high 35 assists to go along with nine digs.

The Mariners return to action tonight when they square off against the Pratt Institute in a road match in Brooklyn, N.Y., beginning at 7:30 p.m. Live stats for the match are available at this link.
