KINGS POINT, N.Y. (April 17, 2019) – The Skyline Conference announced on Monday that USMMA freshman Madison Reddick (Baker, Mont.) was named the league's women's track & field Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive week, while junior Alexa Vandermeer (Grove Heights, Minn.) landed on the weekly honor roll.
Reddick came in first place in the javelin event at the Mariners' home meet this past Sunday, the annual Coach Omeltchenko Invitational. She had a hurl of 36.03 meters in the event. The freshman also placed fourth in the triple jump (9.72m), and fifth in the 400m run (1:09.95).
Vandermeer placed second in the long jump at the Coach O with an ECAC qualifying mark of 4.97m. It was her second qualifying mark of the season, as she also hit the mark in the 400m run earlier this season. Also on Sunday, the junior came in second in the 400m with a time of 1:01.71.
