Wrestling Ends Calendar Year with 28-12 Loss at Hunter

New York, NY – The USMMA wrestling team dropped a 28-12 decision Tuesday night at Hunter College.  Josh Miller (Jackson Hole, WY) recorded the only pin fall for the Mariners as he downed Curtis Bernadeau-Pierre at 174 pounds.  In the loss, Merchant Marine dropped three bouts to the Hawks by two points or less.

Branden Yeik (Bremerton, WA) earned the Mariners first victory of the night with an 8-2 triumph over Jesse Capello at 157 pounds.  Ricky Fisher (Nashville, TN) also earned an 8-2 as he took a decision over Alan Djokie at 197 pounds. 

USMMA will return to action January 5 at the North/South Duals in Collegeville, PA.
