Kyle Simensky enters the 2013 season as the first women's lacrosse coach in the history of the United States Merchant Marine Academy.  He previously spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Mariners’ men’s team in 2009-10 and was part of the 2009 squad that captured a Landmark Conference Championship.  Most recently, he has served as an assistant coach and physical education teacher in the Locust Valley school district.

Simensky is also a decorated NCAA Division III athlete, competing for the men’s lacrosse team at Cortland State.  His team made three consecutive appearances in the national championship game from 2006-2008 and won a DIII National Championship in 2006.  Simensky was named a SUNYAC All-Conference performer in his senior season.  He finished his playing career with 193 total points, tied for 11^th in Cortland State history, including 104 career goals.
