Mariners Come Up Short vs The Beacons

The USMMA Lady Mariners (2-6) fell short after a hard-fought game with the Beacons of UMASS-Boston (3-8). The Mariners were let by Demi Van Der Wal who finished the contest with 21 points. Roshenda Josephs finished with a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds. The Beacons had three players in double digits. Lauren Perra had 21points, Kirsten Morrison had 18, and Shelby buck finished with 10 points. There were several lead changes and both teams struggled in the first half, but it was the Beacons who ultimately won the battle with a final score of 57-53.

The Mariners will be preparing for their Landmark Conference games coming up this weekend. USMMA will be at Juniata College on Saturday and Susquehanna University on Sunday. UMass-Boston will be heading to Rhode Island College for their next game on Saturday as well.
