Before USMMA: Megeff was a three-year letter winner in cross country and track at Peninsula High School.  He was a captain his junior and senior year, MVP his freshman, sophomore and junior years, and qualified for the CIF Finals and Prelims his senior year.  Megeff graduated as a member of the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society.
