Jason Loeb enters his first year as head tennis coach at the United States Merchant Marine Academy. Loeb has been teaching and coaching tennis for the past 15 years. He played number 1 singles for Springfield College where he was All Conference for three years. In addition, Loeb coached at JFK High School in the Bronx where he compiled a 34-2 record in three seasons winning his first city championship last year. Loeb also coaches his sister Jamie Loeb who is currently number 6 in the country in the girls 18’s. He has coached her to 3 national tennis titles, including two this year in Arizona.
Jason is a USPTA certified professional instructor. Loeb has been a head pro at many tennis clubs in Westchester County including Twin Oaks and Seven Bridges. Loeb has been the athletic director as well as physical education teacher in the Bronx for ten years now.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from
Springfield. He also has a Masters in health from Lehman College as
well as a Masters in School Building Leadership from Mercy
College.

James Seitelman joined the United States Merchant Marine Academy
athletics department as Head Volleyball Coach on July 26, 2010.
Seitelman comes from Western New England College, where he served
as the Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach from 2006-08. During the
2008 campaign, he was promoted to Interim Head Coach.
Prior to his tenure at Western New England, Seitelman was the
Assistant Men's Volleyball Coach at his alma mater, Springfield
College from 2003-05. He has also coached at the high school level
twice. Seitelman was the Fermi (Conn.) High School Head Boys'
Volleyball Coach from 2006-08 and the Sachem (N.Y.) High School
Assistant Girls' Volleyball Coach from 2002-2003.
The Port Jefferson native graduated from Springfield College with a
Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education in 2002 and a
Master's of Education degree in Physical Education in 2005.
While playing for the Pride, Seitelman racked up several impressive
accolades. As a four-year starter on the men's volleyball squad, he
was part of two National Championship teams (2001, 2002). During
those same two years, Seitelman was tabbed as an All-American and
in 2001 took home the National Championship MVP Award.
Seitelman currently resides in Long Beach, N.Y.
