Freshman James Hicks (Haddon Heights, NJ) became the second Midshipmen in USMMA tennis history to ever be named to the All-Landmark Conference First-Team. Hicks compiled a 9-3 record at #1 singles, including 4-3 in league action, for the Mariners as the team racked up a program best five victories since joining the Landmark Conference.
"Coach Robertson and I are extremely proud of and happy for Hicks and his accomplishments this season," said Co-Head Coach Trevor Banks. "We feel he worked very hard right from the start and didn't allow anything to get in his way of what he wanted to do through the season. Hicks' leadership and perseverance was key to the little bit of success we had this season. We look forward to building off of this season and using this as a stepping stone not only for Hicks but for the rest of the team in the coming years."
USMMA finished the season 5-7 and earned the program's second-ever Landmark Conference victory with an 8-1 decision over Susquehanna.
