Vita, Lindgren break school men’s swim records at TCNJ Invitational
EWING, N.J. -- Frank Vita and Kevin Lindgren broke U.S. Merchant Marine Academy records in their respective events at The College of New Jersey invitational over the weekend.
The Mariners also had a strong overall performance, finishing second to host TCNJ (1,334 points). The Merchant Marine accrued 709 points.
Vita saw the 200-yard butterfly in 1:50.82.
Lindgren enjoyed a memorable time as well as he placed third in the 200-yard backstroke in 1:54.11 and swam a lifetime best in the 100-butterfly (52.48).
Paul Gober swam a season best time in the 200-breaststroke in 2:34.26.
The Mariners will be in action at Manhattan College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
