Academy Announces $4 Million Gift For Lower Roosevelt Field ProjectToday, the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) announced that it received a $4 million gift through the USMMA Alumni Association and Foundation (AAF) for major renovations to Lower Roosevelt Field. The project will create a state-of-the-art sports complex at the Academy not only for the baseball field, but soccer and lacrosse surfaces as well.
Trio Of Mariners Named To NSCAA All-East Region TeamEarlier this week, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced the All-Region Teams for the 2016 Division III Men’s Soccer Season. Men’s Soccer Runs Annual Clinic At Long Beach FC This Past SaturdayThis past Saturday, August 20, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy men’s soccer team was busy running its annual soccer clinic for the Long Beach Football Club in Long Beach, Long Island. The entire Mariner squad and coaching staff was on hand to organize activities and games for the kids and help them learn more about soccer. Once again, the clinic went very well and was a huge success.
