Madonna Lands On Skyline Men’s Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 16, 2018) – The Skyline Conference announced the weekly award winners for men's soccer on Monday and USMMA junior Alex Madonna (Gibsonia, Pa.) earned a spot on the league's weekly honor roll. The accolade comes after his performances in the Mariners' two conference home victories last week – 3-0 over Purchase on Wednesday night and 5-0 over St. Joseph's-Brooklyn on Saturday.

Madonna led the Mariners with five points (two goals and one assist) on the week. The midfielder opened the scoring in the second half and had that tally stand as the game-winner in the win over the Panthers on Wednesday and then followed that up with a goal and an assist in the victory over the Bears on Saturday. He now has seven points on the season (three goals and one assist), which is tied for third among the Mariners.
