Springer Earns Spot On Skyline Men’s Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

KINGS POINT, N.Y. (Oct. 2, 2018) - U.S. Merchant Marine Academy senior Joe Springer (Bowie, Md.) landed on the Skyline Conference weekly honor roll for men's soccer, the league announced on Monday. The accolade comes after his performances in the Mariners' two Skyline games last week – a 0-0 tie at home against Old Westbury on Wednesday and a 2-1 road victory over St. Joseph's-L.I. on Saturday.

Springer scored both goals in the Mariners' 2-1 road victory against the Golden Eagles on Saturday. Both tallies came on rebounds, as he was in the right place at the right time for the Mariners, including the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute.
