The USMMA men's soccer team had three representatives on the 2013 All-Landmark Conference teams, which were released today by the league office. Gary Poulin (Hauppauge, NY) and Dan Weldon (Holland Township, NJ) were both selected to the All-Landmark Conference First-Team while Kyle Arestivo (Northport, NY) earned a spot on the All-Landmark Conference Second-Team.
Poulin posted five shutouts in 2013 and finished the year with a 1.32 goals against average and a .771 save percentage. He was also selected to the All-Landmark Conference First-Team in 2011. Weldon racked up 14 points this season, including six goals and two assists. He scored two game winning goals, propelling the Mariners to victory over conference rivals Susquehanna and Drew.
Arestivo earned his spot on the second-team after notching 12 points this season with four goals and four assists and netting three game winners. He stepped up and deposited the decisive penalty kick in double overtime as the Mariners defeated Landmark Conference regular season champion Catholic to earn a spot in the postseason.
