Setting the Scene... The USMMA men's basketball team travels to Scranton and Moravian for back-to-back Landmark Conference games this weekend. The Mariners are coming off of a 78-76 double overtime victory over rival Coast Guard. USMMA's clash against the Greyhounds will also mark the end of a five-game road trip. Scranton enters the weekend winners of two straight while Moravian has lost its last two outings.
Series History... Merchant Marine leads the all-time series against Moravian, 8-5. However, the Greyhounds swept the 2012-13 series, winning both games by double-digits. Scranton holds the advantage in the all-time series with USMMA, 11-7. Both sides earned a road win last season and the Mariners defeated the then-#9 Royals in December.
Mariners Survive Double Overtime... Merchant Marine had two-point leads at the end of regulation and the first overtime before finally defeating Coast Guard, 78-76, in double overtime. Nick Sergio (Patchogue, NY) led the way with game highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds. The senior ranks third in the league with 8.0 rebounds per game.

Freshman Hunter Jones (Goodyear, AZ) paces USMMA with 11 assists this season, 1.8 per game.
Leading the Conference... The Mariners lead the Landmark Conference with 6.2 blocks per game and 9.0 steals per game. Andrew Williams (Lantanta, TX) tops the USMMA stat sheet with 11 blocks while Karczewski has totaled a team high 10 steals.
Scouting the Royals... Ross Danzig is averaging a Landmark Conference best 22.0 points per game. Danzig is hitting over 60 percent of his shots on the year and playing 34.2 minutes per game. Scranton is shooting 44 percent from three-point range and is a perfect 4-0 at home.
Scouting the Greyhounds... Izel Dickerson is Moravian's top scorer with 16.0 points per game. Cameron Cullen is the squad's leading rebounder with 7.8 rebounds per game. The Greyhounds have struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 21 percent from downtown.
