Reed Buck (Lawrenceville, GA) closes the 2012-13 with one more award as the USMMA forward was named to the All-Atlantic Region Second Team by D3Hoops.com. Buck led the Landmark Conference averaging 19.1 points per game and was named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team for a second straight year. He finishes his collegiate career at the Academy with 1,126 points, becoming the 26th member of the program's prestigious 1,000 point club.
Buck provided consistent offense this season, scoring double figures in 23-of-26 games and reaching the 20-point mark in 12 different contests. He concluded the year shooting lights out from the field, posting four consecutive 20-point performances, including 26 points against Catholic in the Landmark Conference semifinals. In his final season, Buck was a three-time Landmark Conference Player of the Week.
Buck posted an outstanding 81 percent at the free throw line in the 2012-13 and dished out 2.3 assists per game. He had two of superb outings in USMMA rivalry games, posting a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds against Maritime (NY) as well as hanging up 22 points in a victory over Coast Guard.
This is the second consecutive season that Buck has landed on the D3Hoops.com All-Atlantic Region Second Team.
