Seniors Warren Hartmann (Wyckoff, NJ) and Danny Collins (Sleepy Hollow, NY) earned spots on the ABCA and d3baseball.com All-Region First Teams for New York as both organizations released regional honors today. The pair adds to their postseason awards after both being named to the All-Landmark Conference First-Team two weeks ago.
Hartmann rounds out his collegiate career with his third All-Landmark selection after a 2014 campaign in which he topped the league with a .436 batting average and six homeruns. He also ranked first in the Landmark with a .714 slugging percentage, second in stolen bases with 23 as well as on-base percentage with a .469 mark, and third in hits (39) and runs scored (58). Hartmann was 6-of-13 in the Landmark Conference Tournament with four-RBI, including an eight inning, game-tying homer against Susquehanna.
Collins was also a 2013 All-Landmark Conference First-Team honoree and finished 2014 in the top-five of four offensive categories. He posted a .375 batting average on the year to go along with 21 stolen bases (3rd), four homer runs (4th), a .456 on-base percentage (5th), and a .570 slugging percentage (5th). Collins recorded at least two hits in every game of the Landmark Conference Tournament and had at least one hit in seven of the last eight game of his collegiate career.
