Warren Hartmann Receives New Jersey Alumni Chapter Award

Warren Hartmann (Wyckoff, NJ) was recently presented with the New Jersey Alumni Chapter Award, which honors the athletic and academic achievement of an Academy underclassmen from the state of New Jersey.  Hartmann, who plays on the USMMA baseball team, earns the award after a 2012 season that saw him rack up a team leading 31 RBI as well as compile a .321 batting average.

"We are extremely proud of Warren," said Head Coach Michael Notebaert.  "He is a fantastic young man that works hard every day on and off the field.  It's nice to see that his dedication to the team and classroom are being recognized by the athletic staff and Academy community."

Hartmann totaled a team leading 12 stolen bases last season while also hitting three homeruns.  He is the first student-athlete from Ramapo Regional High School to ever receive the award.  Hartmann is currently a second classmen majoring in Marine Engineering Systems at the Academy.
