MADISON, N.J. – On Wednesday morning, the Landmark Conference office released its 2011 baseball all-conference selections and USMMA freshman Warren Hartmann (Wyckoff, N.J.) was named to the All-Conference First Team as a second baseman. In addition, the Wyckoff native was honored with the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
Hartmann led the Mariners in batting average (.377), at-bats (122), runs scored (32), hits (46), triples (2) and stolen bases (18). He was second in doubles with nine and third in RBI (24), on-base percentage (.430) and slugging percentage (.508). Around the conference, he was tied for third in stolen bases and sixth in batting average.
Hartmann helped his squad to a 15-15-1 overall record this year and narrowly missed the playoffs by one run in the final conference game of the year versus Susquehanna.
