Joe Pisido began working in the Athletic Communications Office at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in January 2012. Along with assisting in the general sports information duties at Kings Point, he serves as the primary contact for the Soccer, Lacrosse, Tennis, Women’s Basketball, Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Pisido also manages the majority of USMMA Athletic publications such as the Football, Basketball, and All-Sports guides.
Previously, Pisido has held a wide array of positions including two separate stays at the New York State Governor’s Office. From 2008-2009 he served as an Administrative Services assistant for former Governor David A. Paterson and was responsible for compiling, organizing, and distributing briefing materials to senior staff members on a daily basis. During the summer months of 2002-2005 he worked as an intern for former Governor George E. Pataki providing general office support.
Pisido graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. While at QU he was involved in the athletics department as a member of the Bobcat Pep Band; serving as the band librarian his sophomore year. He is currently enrolled in a Master’s program at St. John’s University and expects to receive his M.P.S. in sports management in the fall of 2013.
Pisido is originally from East Elmhurst, NY, where he currently resides with his wife, Heather Golden.
